Plant of the Month September - Hebe

Originally a native plant from New Zealand and named after the Greek Goddess of youth, Hebes are very  versatile evergreen, low growing shrubs with a long flowering period and are a beautiful and useful addition to any garden or patio.

Foliage can be variegated or plain and flowers in a range of colours from pure white to a wide range of pinks, mauves, purples as well as red and blue.

Hebes can be used in borders, in pots and as edging plants.

Caring for your Hebe

Hebes do best planted in rich well draining soil. They enjoy full sun but will tolerate shade, although in full shade they may become leggy.

We have a good selection of homegrown Hebes available at Morris's.
